According to the News of the World newspaper Pakistan pacemen Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif were paid to bowl no-balls as part of a multi-million dollar match-fixing ring.
The man, who was secretly filmed by a team from the News of the World posing as representatives of an Asian gambling cartel, appears to be counting out £150,000 in cash, money given to him by the newspaper in exchange for making sure certain bowlers would deliver ‘no-balls’ at specific points of the match.
